I was drafting a blog post about something completely unrelated, and I saw the post I had planned to write for the 10th anniversary of the blog. I realized I had missed the 20th anniverary, because I had just moved to the UK and probably didn't have it on my calendar. So I'll just post a little note here saying that a week ago was the 21st anniversary of the blog.
I do feel like hosting my blog myself, and creating the software to write it, was the right decision. The blog has outlived multiple blog companies, the rise and fall (and rise?) of blogs, and a host of other software that could have caused me to lose everything and start over. Of course, this also means my website is over 20 years old (it's 25, at least), which is wild.
