I know I'm not supposed to be in the market for a camera, but if I were, the EXILIM EX-V8 and Optio Z10 would be at the top of my list. How in the world do you get a 7x zoom in a camera that skinny?

I so need to get a new camera... I checked this out and it is sexy but I think I will need to get moved and then start shopping for expensive new toys. I admit, though, I'm very tempted to go with a 35MM rather than a digital.

It's funny - a 35mm camera is so different from a digital camera, because the quality doesn't depend on the technology. No matter what you do, a 35mm gives you... 35mm photos. There's no resolution question. Admittedly, the optics might not always be the best, but a $25 cheapo film camera is going to rock all over a $100 digital camera. And that gets you at least a few rolls of film, which may last some people years. Me, I shoot 3 rolls of film a day, so it's less useful....
