what comes around...

So I was thinking this morning - do you remember the song 'parents just don't understand' by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince? About midway through our hero is school shopping, and he points out the shirt proposed by his mom is 'plaid, with a butterfly collar'. I wonder if plaid with a butterfly collar is fashionable again?

Damn, and I thought today couldn't get any wierder... now I have a soundtrack. Thanks alot. (they left the keys to the brand new porsche.. will they mind? mmm, well, of course not...) As for the plad with the butterfly collars, from my office window looking out at the quad of the middle school campus I am working on, it looks like the answer is no. However, grunge does appear to be making a comeback. All the kids look like mini Kurt Cobains. (and the girls seem to be channeling Courtney Love...) Ahh, early puberty:)

I wouldn't wish channeling Courtney Love on anyone, frankly. I'm glad I could provide you with some music for your day (I have to confess I did want to share that pain with others).
