road rage

Slashdot pointed me to a study indicating that people who have come to think of their auto as 'private space' are more likely to engage in acts of road rage. "The number of territory markers [seat covers, bumper stickers, special paint jobs, stereos, or plastic dashboard toys] predicted road rage better than vehicle value, condition, or any of the things that we normally associate with aggressive driving".

How might personalized license plates indicate a feeling of personal space?  ;)

 

I wondered that as well - I noticed 'plastic toys' and realized I was a prime candidate (as Sasha can attest anyhow). Clearly what I need to do is deck the Yaris out in more armour, so I can ram with impunity.

I always wanted a built in flame thrower (they have them in Africa) so that I could set fire to anyone who cut me off.
