Dubai

The New York Times suggests Dubai may become another victim in the global economic collapse. In the article, they list several pieces of evidence which indicate structural problems, like the halting of new buildings, and the flight of indebted foreigners who would face debtor's prison if they didn't leave.

Me and the other half of the international division at my company just met with the head of the Luso-Arab Business Development Bureau here in Lisbon yesterday.  He could not stress highly enough that we should not waste our time trying to rustle up any business in Dubai or Abu Dhabi...So, as of today, we are not selling any nurses in Dubai, rather we are selling ambulances in Saudi Arabia.  Naturally.--Sarah
