weekend

My nephew made it in on the evening train last night, and since then we've been putzing about Ann Arbor, seeing the ninjas on the quad and the cool new game store. We'll leave in a little while to head to Blond Energy's house, where rides to Wrestlemania will be provided (apologies to BE if she was keeping the whole trip to Detroit a secret - in her defense, she's not going, just providing a ride).

OOOOOHHHHHH, YEAH!!! Never been to a Wrestlemania. But I have been to several Raws and a Royal Rumble. I was also on TV once on a WCW show. My friend and I were terrified to be on the screen. I know it's not real. It used to be kind of fun in the mid-90s when there was friction between Ted Turner and Vince McMahon for real. Check out wikipedia's articles on Wrestling terminology. Manuel

I saw the ninja on the quad as well. I wondered what was going on. It appeared to be some form of a game of tag; I even heard one person yell out that there were no tagbacks. How is that game store? I didn't get a chance to go over there.

The game store is great - run by a really friendly guy who is just getting going. I hope it works out for him - that location has always been difficult. He gave us the extended tour, which included stepping over power tools to see the soon-to-be tournament space. And the video game demo space (also known as a huuuuge TV with a PS3 connected) is quite nice. He has several games set up to demo, which is cool, because it's a lot easier to get a feel for the game when it's out in the open.
